Family Description

Dorene Chinkhuntha (43) is married to Felix Botha (44). Both are HIV-positive. Dorene does most of the farming work because Felix suffers from mental problems and does not work at the farm. They live in a grass-thatched, brick-walled, clay-floored house.

Transformation Plan

Dorene dreams of producing enough food to last the couple a whole year instead of only 5 months as is the case currently. Dorene is the one who does most of the farming. The family would need more labor to improve their food security situation. Pamoza will help Dorene find adequate labor, fertilizer, and improved seed to improve her agricultural production and attain food security.
