Doug is an 11 month old male Persian that was dumped on a farm. He was showing signs of upper respiratory infection and the property owner called a vet clinic to tell them to come pick him up or he’d be shot.

We got the call from the kind vet tech and brought him into rescue. He’s been with me since.

We started him on meds to treat his URI but on day 4 something wasn’t right. Brought him in to Tender Loving Care Animal Hospital to get checked out.

Here’s what’s going on with Doug:

During sedation the surgeon found a giant polyp blocking his nasal airway. They also discovered he has a cleft palate!

The Vet removed the polyp and performed palette reconstruction and he is staying at the hospital until he is stable enough to come home. They also neutered him while he was anesthetized.
