Since 1985, Downstown, Inc., a nonprofit based in San Marcos, CA founded by Mary Jorgensen, has operated multiple group homes across North County San Diego, providing safe and supportive living environments for over 20 residents living with Developmental Disabilities.

Recently, a devastating fire in one of our homes has temporarily displaced four of our residents, creating an urgent need for additional support to rebuild and continue providing the care and stability they deserve.

Our vibrant and wonderful residents inspire us every day with their enthusiasm, resilience, and determination to lead fulfilling lives. Through personalized care, a family environment, and life-skills training, we help these amazing individuals achieve independence and step into their full potential.
