The pandemic has had a tremendous financial impact on senior living and care-based organizations, especially skilled nursing centers. The funds raised will help continue our mission of enhancing dignity, respect and independence for seniors, as we have for nearly a century.

Almost 100 years ago, Dr. Elmon Johnson of Quincy Hospital along with a group of dedicated volunteers founded the original William B. Rice Eventide Home on Adams Street in Quincy, MA. The beautiful grounds were donated by Emma Louise Rice, the widow of prominent shoe manufacturer William B. Rice. The Rice family shared Dr. Johnson’s vision that all seniors deserve a safe, comfortable home and top-quality, affordable care. Their vision for community-centered senior care laid the foundation for our vital work today. Today, we are proud to serve 250+ families in a beautiful intergenerational neighborhood at Union Point in South Weymouth.
