Blossom's Medical Expenses by Second Chance Dog Rescue

UPDATE:  BLOSSOM IS DOING AMAZING! She has healed beautifully with the use of NexGard and medicated baths.  She has gained weight and her hair is filling out beautifully.  She has now been spayed, microchipped, and brought up-to-date on her vaccines.  This sweet girl is going to make someone a wonderful companion dog!  She is available for adoption through Second Chance Dog Rescue La.  Apply online:  https://secondchancedogrescuela.org/adopt-a-dog-2/adoption-application/

We pulled this Demodex pup from Companion Animal Alliance. She’s young, approximately 18 months, 11 lbs., underweight, heartworm positive, anemic, probably a Rat Terrier mix—we’ll see how she “blossoms”. And that is her name—Blossom. With all of this, and picked up as a stray by Animal Control, landing at an open intake shelter where she would surely have been euthanized had we not found a foster to take her in, SHE IS STILL SO VERY SWEET!!! In the exam room she kept going back and forth across the table from me to the vet tech and back again wanting pets and love. She is going to make a great pet for some lucky person when she’s ready. For now, we need to start a fundraiser for her care and need your help with prayers, shares, and donations. The last photo is after the first day in her foster home, already looking better with a medicated bath, some meds, good food, and a cozy sweater and you can see she is feeling more confident and beautiful. Thank you, foster mom Debbie. And thank ALL OF YOU in advance for your loving, compassionate giving.
