Imagine this: A Bahá’í youth (age 15-95) suddenly decides he/she wants to step up and accept the Guardian's challenge that every Bahá’í should master the facts recorded in the Dawn-Breakers... well, where are they going to go? Although the Baha'i community has lots of great activities, the core literature is always just a little too challenging to take on at a summer or winter school.

If only there was a place dedicated to the introductory study of fundamental literature.

DRBI is ideally situated right between Tucson and Phoenix with beautiful warm weather all winter long. The perfect place for a “winter summer school”!

And we've recently established a “Firm Foundation” earmark fund to support the study of the core literature (primarily those books the Guardian identified as critical for effective teaching).

This year October 6-15 we've are launching our first such program focused on a guided reading of the Dawn-Breakers and the Kitáb-i-Íqán. The idea is to read together the entire book but emphasize (rather than skip) all the details -- the names, dates, places, tablets, context and related Baha’i history. This simple approach helps to clarify for the reader the various threads of story which can easily be missed.
