Believe it or not, Drexel is a lizard!

Legless lizards have evolved to burrow, dig tunnels and spend lots of time underground. Legs aren't helpful for this sort of lifestyle, so over time, burrowing lizards across the world have evolved to have smaller and smaller limbs, some losing them all together. 

Drexel came to us in 2015 and has been an incredible animal ambassador. He eats snails, mice, worms and eggs.
