Melissa Ross became a Habitat homeowner in July 2017, after starting her journey in the program in late 2015. At the time, she and her two children were sharing a small, crowded apartment. Moving into their Habitat home brought stability and a safe place to call their own—something Melissa will always be grateful for. Today, she lives with her husband and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, while also volunteering at Habitat’s front desk a few days a week.

Winning a vehicle through Drive for Hope would be a true blessing for Melissa’s family. With only one car, juggling her husband's work schedule and her many doctor appointments has been a daily challenge. A second vehicle would ease that burden—helping her husband get to work and allowing Melissa to attend her appointments without worry. "It would mean stability in our life so my husband can keep providing for us both,” she shared. “It would be nothing short of a prayer answered."
