Who we are: 

The Hylton Band program, recognized for its excellence and numerous accolades, including honor band awards, superior ratings in both concert and marching competitions, and a Blue Ribbon Award, is committed to maintaining its high standards. We ensure that all band students have access to the necessary instruments, music, uniforms, costumes, equipment, and supplies, and we provide opportunities for them to perform high-quality music throughout the year. Consequently, the program's operating expenses are substantial. While student fees and our annual Tag Day provide some support, we need additional help to replace and upgrade our equipment and instruments. Your assistance is crucial in helping us achieve our goals and offer the best experiences for our students. 

Our mission is to guide students in developing essential life skills, respect, responsibility, leadership, and a lasting passion for music, all while having fun. Every student has a vital role to play in the band—there are no “benchwarmers” here. We are committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of their financial situation, receive an equitable experience in our music program. Contributions from our community, extended families, neighbors, and friends are essential to our commitment to excellence and success.
