This holiday season, we are once again partnering with Presents for a Purpose, a cause that holds a special place in our hearts.
Presents for a Purpose was founded to support families in need during the holidays—many of whom are immigrants working tirelessly as house cleaners, handymen, and in other vital roles that keep our community thriving. The program is about more than just gifts; it’s about creating hope. It’s about showing these families, and their children, that their dreams matter.
One story that inspires us is of a child who shared, “I love to read and want to be a teacher, but I’ll probably end up cleaning houses like my mom.” This sentiment speaks to the resilience of these families and the importance of giving them a brighter outlook during a time of year when every family deserves joy.
Since 2016, Presents for a Purpose has brought holiday cheer to over 1,200 children and provided much-needed support to over 400 families. But this year, the need is greater than ever. Economic challenges, including inflation and job losses, have intensified the hardships these families face.
How You Can Help
Option 1: Sponsor a Family
With a $250 donation, you can sponsor a family, providing them with groceries and holiday gifts.
Option 2: Volunteer Your Time
Help us pack and deliver these gifts on December 13th and 14th. To sign up, email [email protected].
Together, our goal is to raise $25,000 to sponsor 100 families. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring joy and relief to families who have given so much to our community.
