The San Diego Police Officers Association (SDPOA) Foundation is dedicated to supporting the men and women who serve our community. We provide critical financial assistance, emotional support, and resources to law enforcement officers and their families, especially in times of hardship. From helping cover funeral expenses for fallen officers to offering scholarships for their children, our mission is to ensure that those who protect and serve receive the care, recognition, and support they deserve.

The Widows and Orphans Fund is one of our key initiatives, offering immediate financial assistance to families following the critical injury or line-of-duty death of an officer. This fund ensures that those left behind by our brave officers are provided for during the most difficult times.

In addition, our Memorial Fund serves as a lasting tribute to fallen officers, supporting events like the National Police Memorial in Washington, D.C., and other memorials across the country, where the sacrifices of our officers are recognized and honored.

In 2024, the SDPOA Foundation made history with the opening of the nation's first childcare center designed specifically for the unique schedules of law enforcement officers, providing affordable care at half the market rate.
