TNR - Snip and Save

This campaign is to support Trap Neuter and Release (TNR) efforts in underserved areas of West TN. The practice of TNR gets stray dogs/cats spayed/neutered so that they are not producing off spring that may starve to death in the streets, become seriously ill, cause destruction, spread diseases, or suffer in some horrible manner. The animals that are spayed/neutered are healthier and gain a reduced risk of sicknesses and cancers. Furthermore, this practice prevents overpopulation that can cause food competition and territorial behaviors that but feral animals, domestic pets, and humans at risk for injuries.

Less animals on the streets also means that less animals are getting picked up and put into animal control situations where they may be at risk for euthanasia.

In supporting our TNR department, you are saving the lives of the pets that are out in our neighborhoods along with animals surrendered to shelters. Many of these feral animals were pets or the offspring of pets that got dumped out. This is the best way we can serve them and keep them safe and healthy.
