Happy Earth Month!

Here at VAEE, everday is Earth Day. VAEE members are working across the state in various communities to promote conservation, stewardship, and foster outdoor learning. Through systems level collaboration, professional development, and our certification program, we advance environmental literacy and share the benefits of environmental education with communities.

As leaders within the Virginia Environmental Literacy Network, we are organizing community-based educators to collaborate with schools and communities to cultivate conditions for increased environmental literacy and outdoor education. Our certification program is one of six states to earn accreditation from the North American Association for Environmental Education. Certification candidates are engaged in deep learning preparing them to not only educate about our environment, but to also tackle our communities environmental challenges.

One way to support VAEE is to consider asking your friends, family, and colleagues to consider a gift. Your gift helps us to provide low cost training, professional development, and increased opportunity to our educators working across the Commonwealth in schools and communities.
