Echo Garden Nursery (EGN) has been a part of the Eagle Rock/Highland Park community since 2015. Late in 2022, Aubrey and Bill took over the operations of the nursery, putting their hearts and souls into making the business into a community place for local and other customers to buy their plants and gain a relationship within the community.

Currently, EGN is in a legal battle trying to keep the nursery open and keep Aubrey and Bill operating the business so they may continue to serve the community. Because of this legal battle, we cannot discuss the details here. We need support to STOP this from occurring in our neighborhood and need community support to keep the nursery open.

Donations will support legal assistance, repairs, and an effort to properly zone the business.

Aubrey and Bill have spent endless hours cleaning up the nursery and hosting weekly pop-up shops and cat adoptions for the community. These pop-up shops have given local small businesses an affordable venue to sell their wares and promote their businesses. For many, the Echo Garden Sunday Market was their very first pop-up and are now doing other events in the area. We are proud that over 100 cats have been adopted as a direct result of the weekly market/cat adoptions. Aubrey and Bill foster and facilitate adoptions daily by bringing the fosters with them to the garden, providing a positive and safe space for the community. The long-term vision of Echo Garden Nursery is bountiful, and we need your help to stop the closure. Here are some bullet points that we hope we can accomplish with your help:

Open a permanent cat café/lounge and rescue to help more kittens and cats find homes across Los Angeles.
Host workshops and classes to educate the community about sustainability and gardening that works in balance with the native ecosystem.
Host events that empower local artists and underserved groups, especially children/youth.
