Mare Nostrum Elements is turning 23 and we need your help to keep the performing arts alive in New York. Our signature program, The Emerging Choreographer Series, is turning 11 years old!

To celebrate, we are uplifting the voices and stories of 6 ECS Alumni, featuring testimonials, photos and videos on #GivingTuesday on Instagram and Facebook! 6 Choreographers, 3 split bills performances at 3 different venues and we’re asking you to help us raise $5k!

We are committed to providing talented and diverse choreographers with a platform and continuing vibrant arts programming as we step into 2024. Additionally, we provide educational and cultural programming for children in NYC Public Schools.

What Your Funds Will Support

For every $25 = dancer pay (1 hr)
For every $50 = studio rental (2 hrs)
For every $100 = social media boost (3 performances)
For every $250 = local transportation for props/costumes (1 production)
For every $500 = costumes (4 dancers)
For every $1,000 = choreographer stipend
For every $1,500 = stage manager fee (1 production)

About Mare Nostrum Elements' Emerging Choreographer Series (ECS)

The Emerging Choreographer Series is an intensive crash-course in self-producing; offering rehearsal space, dancer and choreographer pay, career development consultations, and professional mentorship to selected choreographers. During the course of the program, choreographers will create, develop, and premiere a new work at CUNY’s LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC) in Long Island City, Flushing Town Hall in Flushing-Queens and El Barrio's Arts Space in East Harlem, NYC.

Our primary mission is to create emotionally-driven stage productions that explore and celebrate dance, theater and movement. In addition to creating original works, Mare Nostrum Elements serves as a production company for artists whose vision fits MNE's mission, and a training outlet to nurture and strengthen the performing arts community.

Mare Nostrum Elements, Inc. is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
