The sex education that has affected my life the most has nothing to do with what I personally did and didn’t learn in school. What changed my life the most is the lessons about consent that the guy who sexually assaulted me in college never got. That’s why I started EducateUS: because I believe that sex education can change the world — but only if every young person gets it.
I believe in the urgency of that vision now more than ever. I want to see an entire generation of men raised knowing how to handle rejection. I want to live in a world where no one can pretend they don’t understand consent. I want to live under laws passed by elected officials who understand how women’s bodies work, and respect our bodily freedom.
We’re a long way from that world today, yes. But we will only get there if we start building it now, brick by brick. I believe we can do it, and I believe we have to. Will you help by making a donation to EducateUS today to help power up local sex ed advocates and candidates in 2025?
