Equitable education is behind a locked door. In 1964, the Civil Rights Act was created to unlock that door, but since then Title VI has been hidden. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act is a federal law that protects students from discrimination and harassment based on their race, color, or national origin. Students are protected by Title VI from Kindergarten through college.
Save Your Six is a civil rights nonprofit organization that aims to create a safer and more inclusive environment for all students by raising awareness about Title VI protections and addressing discrimination issues in schools. We have provided Title VI training to numerous students, educators, families, and community-based organizations and our resources have reached school communities across the nation.
Save Your Six offers:
Please consider supporting our work. When you support Save Your Six, you are helping to promote equity in education and combat racial discrimination in schools. Your donation will empower students, educators, and families with the tools to protect themselves from discrimination and harassment.
Your donation will be used to further Save Your Six's mission and goals. It will help fund and develop Title VI training for students, educators, and families, and initiatives that strengthen Title VI protections for students.
Title VI: “No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance”.
