Sloan Critchfield Memorial Fund

The Sloan Critchfield Memorial Fund helps Pine Island Camp build and maintain our fleet of wooden boats, continuing Pine Island’s legacy of and honoring Sloan’s passion for teaching campers to be competent sailors, kayakers, rowers, and canoers. Proceeds from this fund make possible our annual Sloan Critchfield Memorial Boat Maintenance Workshop – a volunteer weekend that brings together alums, campers, parents, and friends to honor Sloan’s memory working on the boats he loved.
