This is a new annual award supporting students who demonstrate exceptional musical talent and financial need. The scholarship's name honors Ella Fitzgerald, famously known as the First Lady of Song for her extraordinary voice, artistry, and influence on generations of singers.

The Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation was established in 1993 to carry forward Ella's belief that music and education can open doors. Through its work, the Foundation supports young people, expands access to music education, and invests in communities that need it most. Their support of this scholarship is a meaningful extension of that mission and a powerful step toward making A Cappella Academy more accessible to talented singers everywhere.

About A Cappella Academy

A Cappella Academy brings together talented young vocalists from around the world for an intensive 10-day summer program. Students grow as artists, build community, and explore their full potential in contemporary a cappella. Since 2014, more than 500 students have gone on to become Grammy-nominated arrangers, educators, professional singers, and creative leaders.
