About the Challenge


Embrace Pet Insurance presents the second annual EmbraceCLE Community Challenge, a community fundraising competition where select local charities compete to raise the most money for their non-profit. In addition to keeping any money raised for their charity, the top teams will walk away with cash prizes from Embrace Pet Insurance. Participating Cleveland charities will compete for $60,000 in grand prizes and Bonus Challenges to help further their missions.

The program will be launching on Wednesday, September 1st at 12pm ET and runs through September 30th at 11:59:59 pm ET. Charities are split into two competing tiers: Small but Mighty and The Big Dogs.

Weekly Bonus Challenges

Final Challenge: September 20th -26th. 

Small but Mighty: The first four organizations to raise $1000 this week will get $1000.

The Big Dogs: The first four organizations to raise $1000 this week will get $1000.

Week 2: September 13th - 19th. 

Small but Mighty: Every organization that gets at least 5 unique donations this week will get entered for a chance to win a $1000. There will be 2 winners selected at random.

Small but Mighty Winners: W.A.G.S. 4 Kids, Weirdo Cat Lovers of Cleveland

The Big Dogs: Every organization that gets at least 10 unique donations this week will get entered for a chance to win a $1000. There will be 2 winners selected at random.


The Big Dog Winners: The Humane Society of Summit County, Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary

Week 1: September 6th - 12th. 

Small but Mighty: Every organization that raises at least $250 this week will get entered for a chance to win $500. There will be 3 winners selected at random.

Small but Mighty Winners: Fostering Hope, The Sanctuary for Senior Dogs, and Geauga Mama Dogs and Pups.

The Big Dogs: Every organization that raises at least $500 this week will get entered for a chance to win $500. There will be 3 winners selected at random

The Big Dog Winners: The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland, One of A Kind Pet Rescue, and Providence House, Inc.

Prizes


There are first, second, and third place prizes per tier. The winning charities per tier that raise the most online during the challenge win the following grand prizes:

First place: $12,500

Second place: $6,500

Third place: $3,500

And, there will be weekly Bonus Challenges for charities to win an additional $15,000. These Bonus Challenges will be emailed to participating organizations on the first Monday of each week through the Challenge Period. 

The best part: even if a charity doesn't win any of the grand prize money, they still get to keep the money raised during the campaign!
