🌱 Plant the Future: Fund the MASA Youth Farming Intensive!

June 8th through June 26th!

Timings: 8am - Noon three mornings a week and 3-6pm two afternoons a week

June is the most critical time of year at the MASA Seed Foundation. The soil is primed, the days are long, and it is the peak of our planting season. To meet the demands of getting thousands of seeds and plants into the ground, we are launching our 3-Week Youth Farming Intensive.

Farming isn't just labor; it's a profound education. When youth join us for the June Farming Intensive at MASA Seed Foundation, they aren't just weeding and planting. They are learning:

The science of bioregional seed banking

How to build healthy, drought-resistant soil

The mechanics of a true community-supported food system

This program brings 10 to 15 local high school and college students onto the beautiful, historical farm for a deep-dive immersion into regenerative agriculture. They aren't just providing essential hands in the dirt; they are receiving a crash course in planting and growing gardens, bioregional seed banking, soil health, and how to build a resilient, local food system. Participants will learn the timings and techniques of transplanting, cultivation and watering (irrigation).
