Who We Are: A Collective Mission for Mental Health & Employment

EmpowerMinds is home to several organizations, all committed to helping people overcome mental health barriers and achieve economic stability:

🎮 NXT Gaming – Using gaming and esports as a tool for stress relief, teamwork, and digital skill development, helping youth and adults gain confidence while exploring career paths in technology.

🎬 Kenneth Cortez Productions – Kenneth Cortez Productions LLC (KCP) is an event production and media company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, dedicated to elevating communities through storytelling, live experiences, and strategic partnerships. KCP creates platforms for artistic expression while cultivating economic growth, cultural enrichment, and mental wellness within marginalized communities.

🚀 One Choice Program – The One Choice Leadership Program is a transformative six-week initiative for youth ages 14-24 and women of all ages, offering hands-on leadership and workforce training. Participants gain skills and mentorship from Dr. Andrea Blue’s businesses, including Blue Diamonds Training and Consulting (literacy), Blue Pathways Educational Mentorship Services (entrepreneurship and mentorship), Power of the Tongue Tasty Treats Catering (culinary certification), MelanRoots (branding and business development), and RightAway Services (financial planning, insurance, and bookkeeping for small businesses). This program empowers participants to lead, create, and grow their own businesses, driving economic change in underserved communities.

💼 Hope Gain – A workforce development initiative designed to help individuals with mental health challenges secure meaningful employment, offering career coaching, job placement, and professional development.
