LOF Spring Appeal 2026

Each spring as the tide recedes along Laguna’s coastline, a hidden world is revealed.

Beneath the surface—within inches of where we stand—tiny organisms, delicate species, and complex marine systems are working constantly to sustain life along our shore. These tidepools are not just beautiful—they are essential.

Through Laguna Ocean Foundation’s Tidepool Education Program, we bring people directly into this living system—guiding them to see, understand, and ultimately protect it.

Because without awareness, even a single misplaced step can disrupt an entire micro- ecosystem.

From nudibranchs and anemones to sea stars, algae, and intertidal fish, each organism plays a role. Together, they form one of the most biologically rich—and most vulnerable—environments on our coast.

When people experience tidepools firsthand, something shifts. Curiosity becomes respect. Observation becomes stewardship. This spring we are launching a campaign to expand both coastal science and community stewardship. Your gift ensures these ecosystems continue to thrive—andthat future generations understand their value.
