Enemy of the Sun is a visual essay that unravels the history of the 20th century that led to October 7th – a crisis of borders and the nation-states that dictate them. This film highlights how a US-led vortex of western violence naturalized Israel’s ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestine and the future that is to come unless we stop it. By weaving together archival footage, sound collage, and animation, Enemy of the Sun illustrates the connections between militarized border violence and colonial land theft, as well as resistance against those forces.

For this piece, we are thus looking to crowd source some funds in order to pay Palestinian contributors for both footage and archival audio materials for the soundtrack.

We hope to crowdfund $5,000 from small donors who want to see the completion of this film. We have already had some support from private funders, and are making the film entirely on our own with DIY tactics and community collaboration. Any donation, even a few dollars, makes a big difference in our ability to get the word out there.

We have screenings planned in London, NYC, Mexico City, Berlin, and Olympia, WA.

Since the goal of the film is to provide political education, it will be free and made as available to the public as possible.
