Our Mission

At Brazza, we are passionately committed to driving community development initiatives aimed at improving healthcare, education, socio-economic conditions, and agricultural development in underserved communities in Ghana and Liberia. Our mission is rooted in the belief that sustainable educational and community development programs can significantly alleviate poverty and foster self-reliance.

We focus on empowering local communities through participatory development projects that cover every phase of the project lifecycle: from conception and design to implementation and evaluation. By working at the grassroots level, we ensure that our efforts are both impactful and sustainable.

The Problem

Underserved communities, both locally and globally, have long suffered from neglect and exploitation, hindering their development in critical areas such as health, education, community well-being, agriculture, microfinance, and peace-building. Inadequate local government funding and scarce resources have exacerbated these issues, leading to a stark disparity in the quality of life. As a result, only a privileged few enjoy basic life amenities, leaving many behind.

Our Solution

Short-Term Goals:

Basic Human Services: Provide essential services to children and youth in rural and underserved communities, ensuring they can live dignified and flourishing lives.

Long-Term Goals:

Infrastructure Development: Partner with local governments and NGOs to build the necessary infrastructure, enabling communities to reach their full development potential and thrive independently.
Alignment with SDG #3: Our efforts are guided by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #3: “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.”

Global Health Initiatives

Brazza’s Global Health Initiative represents a collaborative effort involving the Washington Metropolitan Area chapter of the United Nations Association (UNA), Georgetown University, University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSN), and Tyler Consulting Group (TCG). This project focuses on enhancing health-related capacities in African countries and other developing communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In response to the pandemic, Brazza has been instrumental in supporting hospitals both locally and internationally with essential medical supplies. Our collaborations have identified urgent health sector needs, which we address by engaging NGOs and businesses in relevant activities that meet these priorities. This initiative aligns with our commitment to SDG #3.

In many developing regions, women play a crucial role in agriculture, yet they often lack access to the necessary resources, training, and support to maximize their productivity and sustainability.
