Everyone has a talent.

Some people gravitate towards science, literature, or music. Others are drawn to the stage. We're all born with something we love to do, that's what makes us who we are. There's power in finding your purpose and celebrating your talent. But some talent isn't clear until it has a spotlight.

We are not just a theatre company; we are a movement dedicated to redefining the landscape of the performing arts and challenging the perceptions of what disability is and can be.

EPIC Players is a non-profit theatre company that opens the stage to all types of artists and seeks to shine a light on neurodiverse talent. We believe our differences are our strengths. And that a more open stage connects artists and audiences to more representation, more inspiration, and more opportunities.

We aspire to support more Neurodivergent and Disabled players than ever before! Offering free programming AND paid opportunities in the arts to ALL company members! We need to raise $5,500 per player annually and $2,500 per EPIC JR Player to continue to offer our no-cost critical programs and paid performance opportunities to our community. And as we grow, we want to do even MORE! One $50 donation provides EPIC the ability to pay for one hour of access to an accessible space in NYC!

Over the last year, EPIC has received a large amount of exposure. We were featured in not one but three news features around the city, as well as multiple radio and paper interviews. Last year we welcomed 21 new artists, and this summer we welcomed an additional 38 new artists to join our company, for a total of 59 new artists in just over a year! We have also hired 3 more neuro-diverse staff to ensure our inclusivity within all aspects of the company. This year we ran a total of 53 classes across five subjects, serving 84 students in the Fall, 80 in the Spring, and 99 different students over the course of the year! Our biggest success was EPIC’s Spring 2024 Mainstage production of Spring Awakening, which was made up entirely of Neurodivergent and Disabled actors! We supported a cast and crew of 38 and over 700 attendees.

EPIC Players currently serves 133 adult members and 15 Epic Jr. members in New York City! Meaning, EPIC Players now serves 174 members nationally! Recently, EPIC company members have auditioned for, and won roles in, Off-Broadway productions, television shows, and commercials; some members have even been featured in films shown across the nation!

We are asking for YOUR HELP to raise $100,000! From 12/03—Giving Tuesday—to 12/31, we are calling on all Players, Family, Friends, and Fans to join our Giving Tuesday efforts to ensure our programs stay completely free and our opportunities get even bigger and better.
