Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers (ECCC) is a nonprofit association in North America and beyond that strengthens and supports the ministries of more than 95 Episcopal camps, conference centers, and retreat ministries across 88 dioceses (regions) of The Episcopal Church. Founded in 1989, ECCC represents one of the largest network of faith-based camps in the United States.
Just like The Episcopal Church, our centers are found all across North America and in parts of Europe, representing a beautifully diverse group of people and communities. From coastal camps to mountain retreats, from urban centers to rural sanctuaries, we come from many walks of life and yet share a common commitment to the promises of our Baptismal Covenant—to seek and serve Christ in all persons, to strive for justice and peace among all people, and to respect the dignity of every human being. This shared covenant unites our work, our worship, and our witness across geographic, cultural, and generational lines.
Our mission is to support and advocate for the ministry and vitality of our centers. Our passion is to build communities that inspire transformative leaders. We do this through leadership development, professional formation, consulting, events, advocacy, and resource sharing among camp professionals, dioceses, and ministry partners.
