Event Pros Take Action (EPTA) is a not-for-profit organization that was established four years ago. Event professionals from around the country have come together to help communities suffering from environmental catastrophe. EPTA has worked in NOLA since being founded. In 2014 we also went to work in the New York/New Jersey area to assist those affected by Hurricane Sandy. To date, EPTA has assisted hundreds of families in New Orleans who have been gravely impacted by Hurricane Katrina. This organization has provided china, glass, silver, and linens for over 200 families in NOLA. Volunteers have donated time to work in the field and to refurbish seven homes from top to bottom in New Orleans. Beyond paying for the rebuild of these homes, EPTA has worked with the home owners to create their dream interiors. Families have been given bed sets, sofas, tables, chairs and many decor items that helped them transform their houses into homes after many long years living in FEMA trailers and overcrowded apartments. Your contribution to our fundraising efforts and Amazon registry enabled our volunteers to outfit the Armstrong home with many “extras” that are much needed and appreciated by the family.
