We are adding an additional 36' equine barn, with three separate stalls that will provide more stall space for the ponies.

Allows me to separate out animals more if needed
More options in working with the dynamics of an evolving herd
The barn will sit in the quad area, so they might spend time one day in the field, and one day in the quad.
Allows the sheep to have their own stall for ease and safety
Frees up space in the front barn which can still be used still for equines but have more options
Better options for winter and mud season
Better options for sick care and/or quarantine

This barn will really complete our little equine village!

I know the economic uncertainty is all over the country. We had decide to do this last year and I really feel this is an important addition to our sanctuary. Because of our loyal followers throughout the past years I feel confidant this addition will prove its worth over and over.

Apifera is owned and operated by Katherine and Martyn Dunn. They have been doing this work since 2004. Martyn is also a landscaper and cares for the extensive gardens. He is key to maintaining the grounds, barns and everything needed to operate on the farm. Katherine is a writer/artist and shares stories and art inspired by the life and animals of Apifera. Her work often deals with grief and nature, with animals as the teachers.

Katherine is the sole caretaker of the animals. They do not take salaries. All donations go directly into the farm account.
