Since 2021, Everybody Eats Globally Foundation has been a dedicated partner in Orangeburg County, working tirelessly to combat food insecurity and improve access to nutritious food. We believe that everyone deserves fresh, healthy options, regardless of their zip code or circumstances.

We began by providing vibrant boxes filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, partnering with the South Carolina Department of Social Services and the Healthy Bucks program. This initiative allows individuals and families using EBT to purchase a $20 value box for just $5, making healthy eating more affordable and accessible.

However, we've encountered a significant hurdle: transportation. Orangeburg County spans over 1100 square miles, yet the City of Orangeburg is the only location with a full-service grocery store. This reality leaves many residents, particularly those in more rural areas, isolated and unable to access the healthy food they need easily.

As a result, our dedicated team has found ourselves increasingly on the road, delivering these vital boxes directly to the doorsteps of individuals and families across the vast county. While we are deeply committed to this crucial service, our current resources are stretched thin.

The Need is Great, and the Distance is Wide.

The lack of accessible grocery options in much of Orangeburg County underscores the urgent need for our services. We are determined to reach every corner of our community and ensure that no one is left without access to fresh, nourishing food.

That's where you come in.

To expand our reach and better serve the residents of Orangeburg County, Everybody Eats Globally Foundation is launching this campaign with an initial goal of $25,000 in 2025. These vital funds will directly support two critical needs:

Hiring Additional Staff: To keep up with the growing demand for deliveries and expand our outreach efforts, we need to bring on more dedicated individuals who share our passion for food justice.
Acquiring a Refrigerated Truck: A reliable refrigerated truck is essential for safely transporting fresh produce across our large service area, ensuring that the food arrives in optimal condition, no matter the distance.
