Intersect, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit coalition dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Madison County. Since 2002, the organization has united community members, schools, healthcare providers, faith-based organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders to work collaboratively toward reducing substance use and its impact among both youth and adults.

Over the years, Intersect has played a key role in bringing prevention initiatives, education, and training opportunities to the community, resulting in significant accomplishments, including:

Supporting the adoption of two local ordinances in Pendleton and Alexandria that hold adults accountable for providing alcohol to minors.
Establishing three permanent medication drop boxes in Anderson, Pendleton, and Elwood to safely dispose of unused prescription medications.
Helping pass more than 20 smoke-free policies in restaurants, workplaces, parks, schools, and apartment complexes prior to Indiana's statewide Smoke-Free Air Law in 2012.
Distributing over 2,000 medication lock boxes to community members to promote the safe storage of prescription drugs.
Providing the Strengthening Families Program to more than 100 Madison County families, helping strengthen family relationships and reduce risk factors associated with substance use.

Through collaboration, education, and community engagement, Intersect continues to create positive change and build a healthier future for Madison County.
