Here at Women of Worth, we have a dual mission. Our primary purpose is to help women in Walker County improve their literacy skills, obtain their GED, or obtain other educational or professional certifications.

Our secondary aim is to change the cultural fabric of Huntsville’s disadvantaged population by promoting higher education and career advancement opportunities. As a Pearson VUE authorized test center, Women of Worth’s aim is to leverage our resources by making computers and digital programs available to support literacy education. In addition to the GED program, Women of Worth is also approved to offer Pearson Vue’s full suite of IT certification exams, enabling the organization to offer more opportunities for both men and women to pursue their educational and professional goals.

Women of Worth strives to become more than a testing center and more of a community development center, offering a mix of services, including educational training, one-on-one counseling sessions, computer classes, and application assistance on a case-by-case basis.
