The Center for Existential Safety works to catalyze collective action to ensure humanity survives this decade. If we can achieve that, then we are likely to create an unimaginably good future for all.

By contributing today, you support ongoing research and policy advocacy designed to prevent catastrophic outcomes. Your donation allows our team to maintain our independence and develop existential safety initiatives that the world desperately needs.

See just a few examples: Trump-Xi AI Deal, International AI Governance Alliance, Existential Safety Actions List, Existential Safety 1-on-1 Advisory Calls, Existential Safety Pledge, Existential Safety Action Pledge, Lifetime Impact Pledge, Existential Safety Leaders Strategy Coordination Calls, Mortality in the Age of AI, etc. We also established the world's first off-grid Existential Safety Sanctuary to allow safety advocates to continue fighting even in case of global catastrophe. And we regularly speak loudly and plainly at high-profile events, like the UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance.

Previously, our team co-founded Effective Altruism Global (which helped mainstream AI safety in 2015), Effective Altruism Ventures (one of the first funding bodies with an existential safety focus), founded Upgradable, advised 80,000 Hours, etc. Our founder was also plausibly the first major whistleblower in effective altruism, against corrupt actors attempting to gain personal power over AI safety.

There are many problems to tackle in the world, but we think the most pressing is mitigating the existential, catastrophic, and astronomical suffering risks from the reckless, undemocratic work of frontier AI companies. None sufficiently prioritize your existential safety. We do.

Your support is an investment in humanity's long-term future. We thank you.
