Exploration Garden Phase III Improvements

The Exploration Garden in Swansea's Clinton Hills Conservation Park is a 6 acre public garden that showcases wildflowers, woods, and waters of southern Illinois. The garden converted one former golf course hole into natural habitat and exploration space for the community. The third phase of enhancements include:

  • Creating woodland gardens on the eastern side
  • Creating a water exploration station for kids to learn about water flow
  • Creating a bald cypress contemplation circle for quiet reflection under the trees
  • Planting native flowers and grass along the lake and creek edge to clean the water and stabilize the shore
  • Additional rock and education signs for the Raindrop's Journey (dry creek)
  • General stewardship and community programming

Funds will be used for these improvements and implementation costs.
