Story

By the People, For the People - Berkshire Mutual Aid is making an impact. Our Grassroots effort is working hard for the community.  Whether it be sewing and distributing masks,  transporting food, sharing resources, connecting the community to information it needs, or gathering donations for the most vulnerable (and more). The Berkshire Mutual Aid Network is here for you.

Help us keep this community #ShireStrong.  We are in this Together!

𝑀𝑢𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝐴𝑖𝑑 is a coalition of community organizers, local non-profit leaders and business owners, political and health care system contacts, funders and volunteers working together to create a safe and coordinated citizen-led response to address the COVID-19 pandemic. We are working to streamline the coordination of many of the volunteer efforts taking place in our community.

We are committed to using your contributions towards serving the most vulnerable members of our community. All funds will be used to maximize the efforts of both the Berkshire Mutual Aid and South Berkshire Disability Rights Working Group.

Your gift might be used to purchase items for donation distribution sites (toilet paper, tooth brushes, thermometers, batteries, or other items), gift cards to ensure food security in crisis to vulnerable populations, gas stipends to volunteers who are running errands on behalf of immunocompromised or disabled person, or much needed administrative items like tape, zip lock bags, sanitizer, ink for printers, paper and beyond.

Please consider making a gift today, allowing us to continue to provide critical collaboration and direct services in our region, where impact matters most.  All funds will be used to maximize the efforts of both the Berkshire Mutual Aid and South County Disability Rights Working Group.

Berkshire Mutual Aid  is a recipient of the New England Grassroots Environment Fund Inc. SEED Rapid Response Covid19 Grant, awarded to community groups responding in real time to local needs.

*At this point we do not have a 501(c)3 designation, as efforts have been focused on real-time support during the COVID-19 crisis.
