The Turinawe-Waechter ACT Resource Center was struck by lightning September 21, 2024. Fortunately, no one was hurt. But, ACT is completely without power. A lightning arrestor we installed did its job! It melted from the strike and sent the current to the ground next to the building. But along the way it irreparably damaged the rooftop solar panels and batteries we had just replaced in March 2024. The ACT Staff are without power and our ZOOM meetings have stopped for now. Urgently, we are requesting funds to replace the system as soon as possible. Please help us turn the lights back on! This is significantly affecting the work of our Ugandan Staff as well as our communication with them from the US.  Thank you for generously helping us with infrastructure that allows us to help those in Muko Sub County!
