Orphaned Coyotes

Over the last five years we have rescued many animals including our brown bears, Tundra and Banks, cougars, Tacoma and Ollie, and. Our most recent commitment to saving wildlife will add a brand-new species to our Zoo Family – coyotes!

This spring, we received a call from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Their team had found four orphaned coyote pups in desperate need of help. The little ones were rescued in the wild through an emergency c-section. Only hours old, they were then transferred to the Alaska Zoo for temporary care. We are forever grateful to their team for providing life-saving care to the pups!

As the pups would not survive in the wild without their mother, we couldn’t let these animals down, so we immediately said yes and found space for their new habitat. Sadly, two of the pups passed away due to complications; however, around the same time, we were contacted by the Minnesota Zoo about their coyote, Millie, who needed a new home after being displaced by her siblings. We saw a unique chance to bring Millie and the two pups together, hoping they'll form their own special pack!

Coyotes are incredibly adaptable animals, found in various habitats across North America. By giving Millie and the pups a new home, we aim to highlight their resilience, unique characteristics, and provide them with the best life possible.

We need your help to care for these animals & bring them to Minnesota. Your support will ensure that this pack receives the care, love, and environment they deserve!

Your support means the world to us and to the animals we care for. By contributing to this effort, you are helping us build a safe and loving home for Millie and the pups, giving them a second chance at life. Let's come together to create a brighter future for these incredible creatures.

Join us in making a difference: Your donation will make an extraordinary and lasting impact. Thank you for championing our mission and defending wildlife!
