A Table For Everyone
This Thanksgiving week on the 26th, The HaloHaven Foundation is hosting A Table For Everyone. A community dinner to feed the homeless and families whose food stamps (SNAP) have been cut off due to the government shutdown.
With over 42 million Americans affected by SNAP cuts in November 2025 and 340,000 households in Chicago relying on these benefits, many families won’t have a Thanksgiving meal this year.
The HaloHaven Foundation’s goal is to make a difference, to give hope, comfort, and a warm meal to anyone in need, whether in Chicago or nearby suburbs.
Everyone deserves to eat, and no one should have to struggle on a holiday meant for gratitude and love.
To make A Table For Everyone possible, we’ve started a crowdfunding page(online donation site) to raise money for the cost of the venue, food, eating utensils, DJ, and decorations. We plan to feed 60 people. Our goal is to raise $2,800 in donations. Every dollar truly counts, even a $1 donation can make a difference in how successful this Thanksgiving will be for families and individuals in need. This day is to make them feel as if they are still celebrating at home with their families and loved ones.
This isn’t just about funding an event, it’s about coming together as a community to show love, compassion, and faith in action. Your support will help ensure that no one goes hungry and that parents who are struggling can rest and enjoy a meal with their children on Thanksgiving.
