Since 1925, the Orange Volunteer Fire Department (OVFD) has proudly protected the people and places that make Orange, CT such a special community. This year, as we celebrate 100 years of volunteer service, we welcome you to our annual OVFD Carnival—a beloved tradition that honors our past, supports our present, and fuels our future.

At OVFD, our mission is simple but powerful: to protect lives, property, and the environment through expert fire suppression, emergency medical services, and public safety education. Everything we do is driven by our commitment to keeping Orange safe and thriving.

We believe community is our greatest strength. Through partnerships with local schools, businesses, and organizations, we work hand-in-hand to deliver fire prevention programs, safety training, and emergency preparedness education that keeps Orange resilient.

Emergency response starts with training. Our members are continuously learning, practicing, and preparing—from the latest firefighting techniques to life-saving medical care—so they’re ready to respond when seconds count.

We’re more than emergency responders—we’re educators, mentors, and neighbors. Through fire safety classes, CPR workshops, school visits, and events like this carnival, OVFD works to keep every resident informed and empowered.
