Fabulare's Dream Project

Fabulare was one of the first girls in our program, someone who’s been with us since the very beginning. She was more than a participant. She was a big sister, a quiet leader, and a bright light for everyone around her.

She was a young mom with a big dream: to become a doctor so she could help vulnerable girls and women heal physically and emotionally from the kind of pain she once carried herself. The summer before she passed, she sat with our founder and shared her five-year plan to make that dream happen. She was determined, hopeful, and ready to build a better future not only for herself and her baby but for others too.

At our second annual EmpowHER Gala, Fabulare shared her story through a powerful video message. The very next day, she passed away unexpectedly from a medical emergency.

While we did everything we could, it made us deeply aware that a separate medical fund is needed for these unexpected emergencies. Every girl in our care deserves access to the fullest and most attentive care possible, no matter what arises.

So every year, in her honor, we launch a campaign to raise funds for healthcare for the girls in our program. We call it the Fabulare's Dream Project Fund. It’s our way of carrying her dream forward and letting her legacy live on by doing exactly what she set out to do: care for other women.
