Founded in 1997, the Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research (FAIR—formerly FairMormon) has provided well-documented answers to criticisms of the doctrine, practice, and history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One Utah sister recently wrote, “I had a LOT of questions a year ago and was listening to FAIR and ended up messaging one of the historians. He called me and talked to me for almost two hours and answered a lot of my questions. It was great because we didn't actually know each other so I could toss questions out there without fear of being judged or it held against me. I can't really imagine a lot of people who are against the church doing that for a stranger. Most of the FAIR speakers/historians have looked critically at the history and evidence and find reason to believe, and that gives me courage to find reason to believe as well.”
As part of our 2025 goals, we hope to raise funds to accommodate more service missionaries, update and expand our question-and-answer wiki, fund research projects, and produce additional podcasts, books, and articles. We also aim to hire full-time administrative staff, professional researchers, media producers, and content marketers. We will be accepting in-kind donations as well as donations for specific causes and projects. For many years, we have relied solely on the generous time our volunteers have contributed. However, to further pursue our mission, we need your help. Our goal is to protect faith from misinformation and provide resources for finding faithful responses and informed answers, and we can’t do it alone.
