Rooted in Ojai, California, and serving Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, Farmhand Foundation exists to help ecosystems, farmers, and communities support each other. We walk the fields, listen first, and build trust by showing up, season after season, alongside the people growing food, caring for the land, and strengthening our shared future.

Like true farmhands, we take on the work behind the work: securing grants, restoring soil health, navigating certifications, opening new markets, sharing authentic stories, and building the relationships that help local agriculture, communities and native ecosystems thrive. By lifting these burdens, farmers can focus on what they do best: feeding our communities.

Grounded in Indigenous wisdom, farmer knowledge, newer technology, and the belief that no one thrives alone, we help cultivate food systems that are resilient, biodiverse, and rooted in place. Because when farms flourish, communities flourish alongside them.
