Planning for Successful Grant Writing
Thursday, July 25th, 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM EDT
In Person
Presenter: Whitney Crettol, M.A. The term “grant writer” is somewhat of a misnomer. Writing grants is just one step in a broader process of program or organizational planning. Securing grants takes skill in research, planning, collaboration, program design, budgeting, writing, editing, and public relations. This workshop will help participants prepare for the development of well-conceived, competitive proposals from a variety of funding sources. Topics covered include pre-proposal planning, identifying appropriate funding sources, cultivating relationships with grant makers, proposal writing how-to’s and ethical considerations in nonprofit fundraising. Learning Objectives: Develop an understanding of the pre-work that leads to solid proposals. Become familiar with the process and core elements of a grant application. Learn what is most important to funders. Obtain practical tips for proposal writing – the DOs and DON’Ts. Discounts for teams, please email [email protected] for promo code for teams of 3 or more. Lunch included
