General Fund

Consider a one time or monthly donation today to help increase food security in our community. Each donation directly impacts the lives of those in our community who rely on the Richmond Food Shelf.  We serve an average of 100 families each month, about half of whom visit for food support twice a month.

The majority of the food we distribute is purchased, and it is difficult to donate highly desired perishable foods such as fresh produce, yogurt, eggs, meat and cheese. Money enables us to purchase exactly what we need from week to week, and we are able to purchase bulk cases of food at lower prices than what is purchased by an individual at the grocery store. Donations to our general fund will be directed to where it's most needed.
