Food Insecurity is still a real problem.

Families and individuals are having to decide how they are going to stretch their paychecks or pay for a nice meal. Ever since COVID, the number of people struggling with food insecurity and hunger has increased. Your donations will allow us to feed 4500 people in our hometown of Brewton, AL, and the surrounding areas. In addition, it will allow us to pay for the operations of our restaurant and continue our unique model of feeding the hungry for 3 months!

Who Are We?

Drexell & Honeybees Donations-Only Restaurant is not like any other restaurant. We don't charge our guests for a meal. There is not a cash register in sight or any suggested menu prices. We simply feed those who come in with a joyful heart, expecting nothing in exchange. This is made possible because of donors like you. Donations help cover overhead costs, the cost of food, and simply keeping the restaurant open. We don't have any employees, just volunteers from our community.

Although my husband and I get the credit for the mission of our restaurant, we know full well that this is a community effort, and this year we'd like to welcome you into our community in an effort to feed many more people, especially in the coming winter season.

When we reach our goal of $10,000 it will guarantee that we are open for another 3 months, and allow us to feed 4500 people.

Why Donations-Only?

We realized that not everyone can afford a nice meal at a restaurant, and we knew that we wanted to bring that sense of dignity and joy to all. So, we opened a donations-only restaurant and were intentional about eliminating barriers that would keep people from coming in. At Drexell & Honeybee's we feed the need, restore dignity, and build community.
