Join artist Ellie Irons for a hands-on workshop creating and painting with watercolor paints from locally-sourced wild and weedy plants. We'll begin with a stroll about the Marble House campus. On the walk Ellie will introduce various plants, explaining their pigment properties and telling stories about their natural and cultural histories. After taking this mindful foraging walk together, participants will work with Ellie to create a range of plant-based watercolor hues, which can be used to paint takeaway postcards and other imagery of participants’ choosing.

Copies of Ellie's book Feral Hues: A Guide to Painting with Weeds will be available for purchase.
