#MilesforMike began in 2020. My daughter, family and friends all started running miles with the goal of raising 100k towards the fight against CRC for however long it takes.

This is the fourth year I'm fundraising for @fightcrc because I believe in their Path to a Cure for colorectal cancer.

My beloved late husband Mike, was diagnosed in 2020 with stage IV colo-rectal cancer (CRC) at the age of 46. CRC is the third-most-commonly diagnosed cancer death in the US. Young men and women are being diagnosed at staggering rates! And yet, because of the stigma associated with the disease, it doesn't garner nearly enough attention.

#MilesforMike aims to help:

Create awareness for early detection and screenings.

Lobby funds towards research and treatments that will reduce the numbers of people dying from CRC.

Advocate for compassionate patient care.
