Your $5 supports youth in our communities the opportunity to build self confidence and self esteem, develop friendships, enhance their interpersonal skills, and learn about teamwork and stress management through dance education!

Our mission is to assist underserved and at-risk youth ages 6 to 19 in accessing arts enrichment programs focused on dance education and performing arts with the following programs:

Community Center Dance Classes - Provides professionally instructed dance classes at community centers for youth that might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the benefits of dance education.

Individual Scholarships - Provides scholarships for dance students who have experience in dance instruction but have a financial hardship or other limitation to continuing their dance education or career advancement. 

Workshops and Intensives - Provides scholarships for workshops and intensives led by professional dance instructors to young dancers, with financial limitations, who have a desire to further their education in the performing arts.

Steps to Success - A career focused workshop with dance industry professionals. This program is designed for high school students and teams who have interest in dance careers after high school. Our professional team travels to high schools to deliver a full day workshop encompassing the skillsets needed for dance industry careers. 

Backstage Pass - Offers youth and young adults the opportunity to volunteer and give back to local communities to earn accredited volunteer hours while serving alongside our organization. 

The Backstage Foundation is an arts and cultural non-profit that funds opportunities for youth development and core value training through dance education, self-expression, and involvement within a safe community.
