First Lutheran Church Youth Mission Trips

This summer youth from First Lutheran Church in grades 6 - 12 will head on two life changing trips.

First during the week of June 16 – 21, 2024 12 Middle School Youth and 3 Adults from First Lutheran Church will serve in the community of Duluth. While in Duluth our young people will serve with residents in Assisted Living Communities, work with two local Boys and Girls Clubs tutoring children and give them a role model to look up to, park maintenance with the Duluth Parks and Recreation service and many more service opportunities to bring the LOVE OF GOD to Duluth.

Our second trip will be during the week of July 15 - 20, 2024 and 9 High School Youth and 2 Adults will attend the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans, LA. Youth will hear from leaders and fellow youth ministries in the ELCA as well as participate in service projects all geared toward encoruaging them to bring their gifts and talents to their home churches. 

The Goal of our summer trips is to show our young people that they are loved and that they all have unique and wonderful gifts. Our hope is that our young people will feel inspired to bring this experience back home to First Lutheran and will join us in our mission to BE THE CHANGE the world desperately needs!
