Flora’s House exists to transform lives by supporting Chicago’s most vulnerable populations.

Our first initiative, Zero to 100, is a bold vision to house 100 seniors by 2030. But every lasting legacy begins with one home, one act of compassion, one foundation built in faith and hope.

That beginning is here: in the West Englewood community of Chicago, Illinois, where Flora’s House will open its doors as a shared living home for at-risk seniors who have nowhere else to turn.

This home isn’t just our first location—it’s Flora’s original home, the very house she worked tirelessly to secure and sustain despite her declining health and limited support. Through her perseverance, faith, and unwavering determination, Flora created a space of safety and security. Her porch became a gathering space for neighborhood youth seeking prayer, conversation, and encouragement without judgment—a testament to her strength to give, even when life seemed to give little in return.

Now, more than 30 years later, her home will once again become a sanctuary—this time for Chicago’s most vulnerable seniors. It’s a full-circle moment of grace and restoration, continuing her legacy of compassion and Christ-centered care.

Flora’s House will provide safe, stable, and affordable housing for elderly residents facing housing insecurity, financial hardship, or displacement. Beyond shelter, we’ll offer case management, wellness support, and access to community resources that foster long-term stability and independence.

This first home will serve as a proof of concept for our broader vision, to create a model of care that can be replicated across the Chicagoland area, ultimately housing 100 seniors by 2030. By planting our roots in Englewood, we’re not only providing refuge for seniors in crisis but also investing in a community that has long modeled resilience, faith, and strength.
